What bananas?

....or at least I thought I could say that because #BabyBoyMcNear never lets bananas stay here long but somehow we ended up having a few ripe ones. So, instead of tossing them I kept them to make Banana (nut) Bread. I was skeptical about the nuts. And then I bought some chopped walnuts and chopped pecans. Guess we're having nuts.

Nothing much to say about this baking escapade. I searched through a few recipes. Something from food network, one from chrissy teigen but eventually landed on this recipe because it called for Buttermilk. I've got a whole jug in my fridge that is going to expire soon, lol.

In my search, I found this tweet. I feel judged. Haha What's crazier is, I know at least 2 or 3 people that have either baked some or thought about it, in the past couple weeks.

Anyway, let's go. I got in the kitchen, measured everything out. I really think it's cool to see all of the items measured out in little bowls like the tv bakers do. I modified the recipe to include 4 bananas instead of 2. I increased the other items a smidge. Then looked back and saw I had 2 more ripe bananas to use and 3 almost ripe bananas. (Did I mention I have a whole bunch of yellow bananas too.) And since my cousin @tkj73 doesn't eat Walnuts, I figured I'd make two. One with Walnuts and the other with Pecans.

Lolol, I literally almost forgot my eggs (not pictured). Not because I wasn't following the recipe but because I'd glanced over the step and thought I'd completed it. Plus, the eggs were behind me.

Once I started mixing things up I realized I'd have enough to make two without needing anymore bananas. Guess I'll peel those others and put them in the freezer. Smoothies!

I wondered about using a bundt pan to do these but my handy loaf pans were ready to be used again. Maybe if I'd read the other recipes, in details, I might have bundted it.
So, I might have "measured" the two unevely because the pecan loaf is smaller than the walnut. But I'm sure it'll eat just fine.

AND HERE WE HAVE IT. BANANNA NUT BREAD.
